I did but I listened to it on my way to work and home. The narrator was great..
Murder Al Dente
The story is funny, has mystery and a touch of romance. My kind of book. A good and easy listen for a time when something light fills the bill. Loved the narrator and the way she did the accents. Fun book, light read, funny characters. Get a free audiobook.

Yes was fun to listen to Who was your favorite character and why? Dizzy because her thoughts are so funny Which scene was your favorite? The car crash Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting? Throughout, Nick provides reliable support and help to Carla on the case. But during a time of questionable progress, and Carla's perfume continually driving him crazy, Nick finally buckles, overpowered with desire to make love to Carla again.

With Carla's compatible urges, they make love all over Carla's residence on the bed, table, floor, the makings of a good police scandal all the while a dog is in the lurch wanting its own action. This sudden rush of making whoopee is to Nick's great liking, turning his thoughts to engagement and marriage to Carla, her fantasies about him not discouraging it. But making whoopee wasn't solving the case. Seemingly, it was as if Carla's perfume and this rush of sex was wearing Nick out and he was leaving the burden of putting all the pieces together to solve the three possible murders on Carla's restless shoulders.
She met the challenge. With her uncanny intuition, superior to Nick's, Carla takes what scant clues are available and finally hits the jackpot: she uncovers the one critical link in common connecting the three dead women; a link which would eventually show that the three dead women were indeed murdered by one unsuspected but diabolical person with a twisted motive. But the evidence had to be gathered to prove this. To do so, Deborah's life is put in danger in a harrowing ending, where the culprit is apprehended in the nick of time and confesses as a result of Nick's police trickery and the case is solved.
This victory, though, comes at a persnal cost. Nick had gone a trick too far. During her investigation Carla gained information about Nick putting in jeopardy their relationship. Will Nick lose his whoopee? The reader will never know. The story ends there. And a marvelous story it is, allowing me the privilege of giving it a 5 star rating. Gerald G. I was disappointed in this mystery. The characters are amusing, but the plot didn't work for me.
The so-called motive for the crimes was completely unbelievable. Carla, Nick, and Deborah were amusing, although also improbable. The victims and their families were, for the most part, weakly written stereotypes exception being the chemist and her family. It did make me hungry, so I guess the author did s good job with the food. It also made me smile, hence the three stars.
A bright light on Revere Beach
The ending is ambiguous, but I'm not interested in buying the next book. I really enjoyed this story.
